Schwannoma is most common benign tumor of peripheral nerve

Usually it occurs in adults

Usually it is non cancerous but can lead to nerve damage & loss of muscle control

Typically it comes from single bundle (fascicle) of nerve & displace rest of nerve but when it grows large may involve more fascicles making removal more difficulty

Treatment is surgical removal of tumor preserving nerve damage.
